CIAs (left to right) Ayana Alshans-Brooks, Brianna Roberson, Yolanda Wiggins and Yvonne Martin take the Monday morning tour of duty at the new Student Welcome Center on the Macon Cove Campus.

Southwest is extending an official "welcome back" to our students during the first week of classes with our new Student Welcome Centers on the two main campuses and at each center. Campus Information Agents (CIAs) will be strategically located and ready to provide information, and direct students needing assistance.

The Student Welcome Centers opened on Saturday, August 28, operating from 7 to 9:30 a.m. and will continue to operate from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Friday, August 30-September 3.

Adam Gooch (left), who works nights, gets information about his online class from CIAs Ayana Alshans-Brooks and Brian Stuckey.

The welcome centers on the two main campuses are in the breezeway of the Farris Building at the Macon Cove Campus and in B-118 (Crossroads space) on the Union Avenue Campus. The Gill, Millington, Maxine A. Smith and Whitehaven centers are hosting Student Welcome Centers in their entrance/main lobby areas.

Note: Computer labs for student use on the Macon Cove Campus will be in the Academic Support Center (east side of Nabors) and in the Bert Bornblum Library. On the Union Avenue Campus they will be in the Academic Support Center (F-319), in Crossroads (B-118) and the Parrish Library.
